“Capt Mike” is a veteran of the United State Navy, and has over 30 years of safe boating experience operating in Florida waterways. Capt Mike is certified through the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) Boater Education Safety Program, and maintains a valid US Coast Guard Captains License for safe operations of vessels up to 100 tons. During his service in the US Navy, Capt Mike was an integral member of a USN Warship, the USS Sellers which was a USN Adams Class Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG-11) based out of Charleston South Carolina. While aboard the USS Sellers, Capt Mike (and crew) performed anti-drug interdiction operations along the Eastern Seaboard and Caribbean Sea, conducted joint coalition battle force operations in the Mediterranean Sea, conducted Flags ship visitation exercises at numerous ports along the Gulf Coast in the Gulf of Mexico, and finally the USS Sellers was decommissioned in Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in 1989. Capt Mike served underway aboard this vessel in both Continental US and International Waters for 2 consecutive years during his 6 year Naval Tour of Duty, whereby he was trained/credentialed in many aspects of shipboard seamanship. His qualifications in the Navy include: Deck Seamanship/preservation, Helmsman/Leehelsman qualifications, US Navy Small Boat Operations qualifications, Navigation, Shipboard Firefighter/damage control, and numerous other trainings that are required to meet the high standards of Naval Seamanship.
“Capt Becca” is a US Coast Guard Licensed Master Captain having over 8 years’ experience operating vessels in the domestic waterways of the United States Rivers, Atlantic Ocean, and Great Lakes. Capt Becca is a certified Airboat Operator through USA Marine Training, she has her private pilot license with her Sea Plane endorsement, and is a check ride away from earning her commercial pilot rating with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Capt Becca also has her associates degree from St Johns River Community College, and is currently finishing up her bachelor’s degree in business management.
“Capt Tyler” has worked in the hospitality industry serving NE Florida for over 10 years. He maintains a US Coast Guard Licensed Master Captain having over 5 years’ experience operating vessels in the domestic waterways of the United States Rivers, Atlantic Ocean in North East Florida. Capt. Tyler has attended training through various seamanship training programs, and is a certified Airboat Operator through USA Marine Training. He is a long time local of Jacksonville Florida and has grown up surfing and fishing the local waterways for over 15 years.
